    Россия и Глобальный экологический фонд: 25 лет сотрудничества

    Studies the experience of cooperation between the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Russia with the focus on the planned and already implemented environmental projects of the Global Environment Facility in Russia. Analyzes the main activities of the Fund and the features of GEF’s environmental projects in Russia, evaluates the prospects for further cooperation. Presents the classification of environmental projects supported by the GEF depending on the scale of funding. Examines the mechanism and the degree of participation of stakeholders (Russia and GEF) in financing environmental projects in our country. It is pointed out that Russia is of great investment interest for the Global Environmental Facility, especially in the implementation of projects on biodiversity conservation, combating global climate change and protecting international waters. Considers the prospects for a possible development of Russia’s cooperation with the GEF in addressing ecological problems.Исследуется опыт сотрудничества России и Глобального экологического фонда (ГЭФ). В фокусе внимания находятся проекты Глобального экологического фонда, запланированные и реализованные на территории России. Проанализированы основные направления и масштабы финансовой поддержки экологических проектов в России. Представлена классификация экологических проектов, поддерживаемых ГЭФ, в зависимости от масштабов финансирования. Рассмотрен механизм и степень участия заинтересованных сторон (России и ГЭФ) в финансировании проектов по сохранению окружающей среды в нашей стране. Установлено, что Россия представляет для Глобального экологического фонда большой инвестиционный интерес, особенно в реализации проектов по сохранению биоразнообразия, борьбы с изменением глобального климата и защиты международных вод. Показано также, что средства фонда являются важным дополнительным инструментом в решении экологических проблем в России, которая за 25-летнюю историю сотрудничества с ГЭФ получила от фонда более 4 млрд долл. на реализацию на своей территории 90 проектов в области сохранения окружающей среды. Рассмотрены перспективы возможного расширения сотрудничества России с ГЭФ в решении экологических проблем

    Exact solutions for equilibrium configurations of charged conducting liquid jets

    A wide class of exact solutions is obtained for the problem of finding the equilibrium configurations of charged jets of a conducting liquid; these configurations correspond to the finite-amplitude azimuthal deformations of the surface of a round jet. A critical value of the linear electric charge density is determined, for which the jet surface becomes self-intersecting, and the jet splits into two. It exceeds the density value required for the excitation of the linear azimuthal instability of the round jet. Hence, there exists a range of linear charge density values, where our solutions may be stable with respect to small azimuthal perturbations.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures, to appear in Physical Review

    Dynamics of the Free Surface of a Conducting Liquid in a Near-Critical Electric Field

    Near-critical behavior of the free surface of an ideally conducting liquid in an external electric field is considered. Based on an analysis of three-wave processes using the method of integral estimations, sufficient criteria for hard instability of a planar surface are formulated. It is shown that the higher-order nonlinearities do not saturate the instability, for which reason the growth of disturbances has an explosive character.Comment: 19 page

    Antimicrobial resistance in clinical <I>Escherichia coli</I> isolates obtained from animals

    The article presents data on the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of antimicriobial resistance in Escherichia coli clinical isolates recovered from bovine microbiota (secretions from mammary glands, cervical swabs). 127 Escherichia coli isolates were studied, i.e. 44 from mammary glands secretions and 83 from cervical swabs. Disk diffusion method was used to study antimicrobial resistance of the cultures; minimum inhibitory concentrations of antimicrobials were determined in a serial dilution method; resistance genes were detected by polymerase chain reaction. The carried out research demonstrates a wide distribution of the isolates belonging to the phenotype resistant to ansamycins (rifampicin), semi-synthetic penicillins (ampicillin and amoxicillin), tetracyclines (doxycycline). The isolates showed a lower level of resistance to macrolides (azithromycin), amphenicols (levomycetin) and aminoglycosides (tobramycin). It was found that Escherichia coli clinical isolates are sensitive to third-generation cephalosporins and fluoroquinolone antimicrobials. However, since 28.46% of cultures demonstrate intermediate resistance to third-generation cephalosporins and 49.02% of Escherichia coli DNA samples isolated from mammal gland secretions had blaDHA gene associated with resistance to this group of antimicrobials, these antimicrobials could be hardly recommended as antibiotics of choice. Absence of VIM carbapenemase-encoding gene in the DNA of the recovered isolates and a low level of phenotypic resistance (10.22% of isolates from cervical swabs) can be one of the reasons for recommending first-line carbapenems as antibiotics of choice to treat animal diseases associated with Escherichia coli, along with fluoroquinolones as reserve antimicrobials. It was found that the recovered Escherichia coli isolates are more sensitive to combination antibiotics than to mono-antibiotics

    A total of 452 blood samples of cattle, sheep and goat collected in different regions of Altai Republic, Altai region, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions were examined on the presence of Anaplasma DNA using nested PCR with subsequent sequencing of PCR fragments. Anaplasma DNA was found in all examined blood samples of goat, 75.2 % samples of sheep, and 49.3 % samples of cattle. A molecular genetic analysis has demonstrated that intraerythrocytic Anaplasma ovis circulates in goat and sheep blood, while an intraerythrocytic Anaplasma sp. Omsk and a new intraerythrocytic Anaplasma sp. Sibl22, which cannot be attributed to any known species, circulate in cattle blood. In addition to intraerythrocytic Anaplasma, DNA of monocytic Anaplasma bovis was found in one blood sample of cattle

    This article is devoted to the electroneuromyography research performed on 50 patients with pelvic injuries. There was introduced the algorithm of peripheral neuropathy diagnosis with minimum of ENM-methods for lesions dianosis on lower extremities. Among all the studied muscles the most significant for the patients with pelvic injuries were chosen feet muscles (m. flexor hal. br.et m.extensor dig. br.), because those are the most distal portions, characterizing integrally the functioning of all the parts of nervous muscular system of lower extremities. The most stable and reproducible characteristic of electromyography is the medium frequency of bioelectric muscle activity. A simpler algorithm of electromyography parameters based on the M-responses analysis of nerves distal portions and bioelectric feet muscle activity medium frequency was proposed as a very convenient for clinics differential diagnosis method. 62 % of peripheral lower extremities lesions were found in patients with pelvic injuries. Peroneal nerve neuropathy was observed 7 times more often than tibial one. Expressed lower extremities muscles functions lesions were found with n.tibialis neuropathy less than 5% and with n.peroneus neuropathy less than 20% of the norm. More than 70% of n.tibialis and n.peroneus neuropathy has only subclinical muscles changes and are well recovered in long prospects.Электронейромиографическое исследование проведено 50 пациентам с травматическим повреждением костей таза. Предложен алгоритм диагностики периферических нейропатий, сводящий к минимуму набор ЗНМГ- методик для диагностики нарушений нижних конечностей. Среди всех исследованных мышц наиболее значимыми у пациентов с травмой таза выбраны мышцы стоп (m. flexorhal. br.etm.extensordig. Ьг ), т.к. именно они являются самыми дистальными отделами, интегрально характеризующими работу всех звеньев цепи нервно-мышечного аппарата нижних конечностей. Наиболее стабильной и воспроизводимой характеристикой элетромиографии является средняя частота биоэлектрической активности мышцы. В качестве удобного в клинике метода дифференциальной диагностики предложен упрощенный алгоритм параметров электромиографии на основе анализа М-ответов в дистальных отделах нерва и средней частоты БЗА мышц стоп. Выявлено, что нарушения периферического звена нижних конечностей у пациентов с травмой таза были отмечены в 62% случаев. Нейропатии малоберцового нерва наблюдалось в 7 раз чаще, чем большеберцового. Выявлено, что выраженные нарушения функций мышц нижних конечностей отмечаются при нейропатии n.tibialis ниже 5% и n.peroneus ниже 20% от нормы. Нейропатии n.tibialis и n.peroneus более 70% имеют лишь субклинические изменения мышц и хорошо восстанавливаются с течением времени
